Where We Stand
The plastics industry has work to do, and we are doing our share.
We recognise that plastic carries real environmental responsibilities. What we can do is make sure every kilogram leaving this plant is produced with cleaner energy, minimal process waste and a specification that is not over-engineered.
Three things already in motion
- Energy: rooftop solar installed since 2021 supplies much of our daytime production electricity.
- Material: a biodegradable line in development for customers ready to switch, with sample trials before mass production.
- Process: a 5R programme across the plant to cut material waste, plus specification consulting so customers never use thicker film than they need.
Efficiency is the most overlooked form of sustainability
When we help a customer move packaging from 0.05 mm down to 0.035 mm without losing strength, two things happen at once: their packaging cost drops, and so does the volume of plastic in circulation. This is the work we do most often with our development team.
